Suzanne is a Cinematographer originally from Merseyside in North West England, with 16 years experience in the industry. She first moved to London to work for a camera and lighting rental house as an in-house technician and camera assistant, before leaving to work as a freelance assistant on high end dramas.
She learned her craft through the traditional route, working as a 2nd AC for Cinematographers such as Tim Palmer BSC, Peter Sinclair BSC, Ben Wheeler BSC and Roberto Schaefer ASC AIC.
Suzanne has been working as a DOP for 6 years, with a further 4 years of operating before then in a wide range of genres, and has filmed across the country and internationally.
Short film Hunting Bears starring Nathaniel Parker and Joel Beckett, was an Official Selection at the BAFTA Qualifying Cambridge Film Festival 2021, where it had it's UK Premier in November. It was recently announced as an Official Selection at Kingston International Film Festival, where it will screen this June 2022.
Suzanne is a member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians, a Friend of the Association of Camera Operators and a member of BFI Network x BAFTA Crew 2021.
Suzanne's first feature film Guardians took home awards at Genreblast Film Festival and Swindon Independent Film Festival as well as receiving a Special Mention at Ramsgate Film Festival, before being distributed on Amazon Prime, Sky Store and VirginMedia.
Recently, short film Gliding starring Ailema Sousa and Shirley Wiggins, was an Official Selection at the BAFTA and OSCAR Qualifying Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur Short Film Festival of Switzerland 2021.
Disarm starring Sophia Myles and Shri Patel, recently won awards at the London Indi Short Film Festival and 4th Dimension Independent Film Festival, and also received an honourable mention at London International Monthly Film Festival.
